I just finished reading the article on
KELOLAND.COM that
lays out the Republican response to the seven point plan Democrats will
implement when we END Republican majorities in both the House and
Senate. It is a sad day when common sense approaches are dismissed
as impractical. It is time to bring balance to Pierre.
We have a good slate of candidates running for House and Senate seats - now we need to help them win!
For every hour a volunteer puts into a local candidates race; their name will go into a lottery. One lucky winner will sit down for coffee with Senator Johnson at his Sioux Falls office! The competition will run from Friday, Sept 17 to Friday, November 5th.
To enter, the volunteer can either e-mail me at
engels.lisaandrichard@gmail.com or fill out a form at the SDDP office. The following information is needed for each entry:
Are you ready to get started? Here are some upcoming opportunities:
District 9 is one of the few districts in the entire state that has a Democratic majority.
With your help, we will make certain that our fine Democratic
candidates will represent District 9 and Minnehaha County next year.

He is a fantastic candidate - motivated, compassionate, and has an
impressive history of leadership in District 10. For 32 years, he
served as Principal and Superintendent in the Brandon Valley School
District. He has also served on the board of directors for the Brandon
Development Corp, the Brandon Community Foundation, and United Way. Think of what he can do as the State Senator of District 10 if he were elected!
Meet at 2:00pm at Mary Clark's house, 47156
Club House Rd, which is located in Baker's Crossing. Following the
canvass, Mary will provide an appreciation meal in her beautiful home.
